Privacy policy.
Last updated 2 November 2026. We keep what the app needs and nothing to sell.
What we store
- Your email address, to sign you in and to write to you about your account.
- Your reading data: books you opened, your place in each, notes and highlights, review cards, daily goal, streak and reading preferences.
- Books you upload, if you use the upload feature. They are private to your account.
- Security records: a hashed form of your IP address and browser details for sign-in sessions and abuse protection, kept for a limited time.
We do not run advertising and we do not sell personal data.
Cookies
The public pages (this site, the library and the book pages) set no cookies and use no analytics trackers. When you sign in we set one essential session cookie so you stay signed in. It is limited to the reading app and has no tracking purpose. Your theme and speed choices are saved in your browser's local storage.
Who processes data for us
- AI provider. When you use an AI feature, the passage or book text needed for that request is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce the answer. We do not send your email with it.
- Email delivery. Sign-in codes are sent by an email service provider.
- Payments. When paid plans open, card details are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- Hosting. The service runs on a server rented from Hetzner.
How long we keep it
Your data stays while your account is open. Deleting your account removes your library, notes, cards, progress and uploads. Short-lived security logs expire on their own.
Your rights
You can download your data and delete your account yourself from the account page once you are signed in. You can also ask us to access, correct or erase your data, or object to how we use it, by writing to info@atlas-stocks.com. If you are in the EU or UK you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, where we can, tell account holders by email.
